Make-Up by Me
But of course as years pass by, I get to read some fashion magazines and with the help of my friends (jay, ricky & elmer - that are very much willing to give me tips), I realize in 2009 (ang tagal!) that I wanted to do this, enhance it fully...and be a Professional Make-Up Artist soon...:)
Here are some pictures of my work:

My Husband have "Girls"
Chantal Alecxi is the name we chose for our eldest.
"Chantal"-song & "Alecxi"-protector/defender and we got the spelling of her name Alecxi from her ninong Alecx
She's a "headturner" sabi ng tita nya because of her white complexion..na pano daw naming nagawa? hehe
She loves reading books. We usually make tambay @ national bookstore and powerbooks.
She loves singing and loves to play at timezone.
She knows how to mix match her clothes..she's kikay :)
She's now 4 yrs. old and attends a nursery class @ Ching Academy.
Samantha Ruth is the name we gave our 2nd baby.
"Samantha"- derived from the name Samuel meaning listener and "Ruth" meaning a friend/companion and this was also the book written by Samuel son of Hannah
Her face is very charming that people call her "ganda"
She has round eyes and always wear a smile on her face
She loves sucking her thumb (her "ate" taught her to do that). Others say that when babies suck their thumb, the baby is "mabait"
She turned 1 last May 18 and has yet to show her talents and interests in the coming years.
I know that they are God's gift to us. And we pray that they grow to be God's faithful servants.

the Prom
RED Lips
This is a very classic look. A bold red pout is at once sexy, glamorous and elegant.
Just find the right RED color that suits your skin tone. Wear this with a simple make-up on your eyes with bold lashes and you can never go wrong.
DRAMATIC Eyes (smokey eyes)
Is a glamorous make-up. This is always been in fashion but this year they are as BIG as ever! The key for a perfect smokey eye is proper blending. You have to make sure that colors are blended together flawlessly. It’s important to have a light base color with rich dark colors on top. For this season you can go for jewel-toned (you can check out samples of jewel toned colors on my previous blog about color trends for 2010) and pair it with a nude color lipstick.
SIMPLE MATTE LOOK
You have to let your dress do the talking in this beautiful but low maintenance look. First, line your eyes with a thin layer of brown eyeliner. Apply a small amount of cream eyeshadow on your lids then mascara to add corners on your eyes to make your eyes pop and finish by applying powder blush and matte lipstick. This goes off to show that natural is still beautiful!
ROSY FRESH CHEEKS
Fresh looks always stands out! You have to look blemish free on this. Apply foundation on the spots or any uneven skin patches. If you have spots that foundation can’t cover, you can cover them with a good concealer. Then apply creamy blush on the rose of your cheeks, blending outwards and finish it by applying mascara in your lashes, above and below. Complete your look with a pink shade of lip gloss!
I do hope this make-up tips will help you feel good, beautiful and stand out on your Prom Night!

HOT NEW COLORS FOR 2010
*THINK FRESH, THINK GREEN! – be it cedar green, pale celery, sea foam blue green or eucalyptus. This color symbolizes eco-friendly spirit and a restful mood. It represents renewal and eternally. It is the color of a new growth. Fresh.
....the colors of fruits and veggies like eggplant, tomatoes and lemon serves as good example:
*NEUTRALS WITH AN HEAVY EMPHASIS ON GRAY– would also fit the year… because of the sagging economy; people will want an easy and calming color. These includes taupe gray, Silver gray, charcoal gray, tea beige, champagne beige and angora.
Of course black and white would still be “In” because it also falls in the neutral category.
*JEWEL TONES - If you just want to rest from the economic woes, you can indulge yourself and try this tones which represent luxury. Samples are Glowing Umber, Summer Plum, Wild Orchid and Granite:
* ANIME – these colors will cause quite a stir in 2010, colors that are inspired from a Japanese anime. This includes Chipmunk Brown, Lavender and Mimosa Yellow
But of course this is what the industry is predicting. Ultimately, color trends should be influenced by what “WE LOVE”. Chao!

....back to History
……Make-up firms boomed in the 1900’s and it was started by the largest and oldest which is L’Oreal and this was founded by Eugene Schueller in 1909. It is the French Harmless Hair Coloring Company now owned by Liliane Bettencourt 26%, Nestle 28% and 46% of it were publicly traded. This was eventually followed in the US by Elizabeth Arden, Helena Rubinstein and Max Factor in 1910. These firms were joined by Revlon before the World War ll and Estee Lauder just after. But now we all have more choices in buying branded make-up like MAC, She Uemura, Bobby Brown, Lancome, Chanel, Bourjois, Lancaster, Giorgio Armani, The Body Shop, Clinique, Rimmel, Maybelline and... kayo na bahala dun sa iba…hehehe. And syempre we won’t forget our local brands such as Fanny Serrano (F21), Natasha, Ever Bilena etc….
Of course we can choose whether we want to buy branded or local products (ang dami na kasi nila). Just be sure lang that they pass the standards na gusto nyo makuha pag ginamit nyo na sya. ‘till next time!!!!
